Amlan Ray is a Technical Advisor in the firm's Intellectual Property Group, specializing in offering scientific advice concerning validity, infringement and patentability issues in the areas of pharmaceutical science and chemistry. He is also involved in opinion writing and review of discovery documents during patent litigation. Prior to joining Budd Larner, Dr. Ray was a Graduate Research Assistant at Rutgers University where he worked in the field of homogeneous catalysis relating to synthesis of organic molecules and polymers having potentially useful commercial applications. He has extensive research experience in the field of organic/inorganic synthesis, bio-ceramics, polymers, x-ray crystallography and also co-authored a number of scientific articles.
