Budd Larner, P.C. is a law firm of approximately 80 attorneys, with offices in Short Hills, NJ; Cherry Hill, NJ; New York, NY; and Philadelphia, PA. Founded in 1934, the firm provides a full range of legal services to a diverse group of clients, both domestic and foreign.

Budd Larner's clients include individuals, partnerships, corporations - ranging in size from start-up ventures to Fortune 100 multinationals - municipalities, educational institutions, financial institutions, insurers and reinsurers. The firm counsels its clients on how to avoid problems, provides representation in negotiations, and handles all phases of litigation.

Budd Larner's practice areas include: corporate and business transactions; commercial litigation; first party coverage and property insurance litigation; product liability and toxic tort litigation; insurance and reinsurance matters; intellectual property law and litigation; entertainment law; computer law; internet law; domestic relations matters; tax and estate planning; real estate transactions; creditors' rights and bankruptcy matters; and appellate matters. In most cases, a single shareholder has responsibility for a matter. Staffing within the firm ordinarily depends upon the needs of the case. As a general rule, we attempt to staff matters with the minimum number of attorneys consistent with a high quality product. Our partners can be relied upon to maintain a close working knowledge of the case and to involve themselves extensively in those aspects of a matter where the experience of a senior attorney is most helpful to the client. Junior attorneys and paralegals are employed where appropriate to minimize costs. Through efficient staffing and regular client communication, the firm provides quality representation at a reasonable cost.

Budd Larner enjoys a fine reputation, both for the representation it provides and for the character of its attorneys. One of the firm's founders, Samuel Larner, went on to enjoy a distinguished career as a trial and appellate judge. Other former members of the firm also moved on to the bench, including C. Thomas Schettino, who became an Associate Justice of the New Jersey Supreme Court, and Christine Miniman who is a New Jersey Superior Court judge. Former shareholder Shira Scheindlin now sits on the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. The firm's attorneys present lectures and articles in national and international forums, serve on bar and ethics committees, and participate actively in the communities in which they live.
