Budd Larner's reinsurance attorneys provide a full range of services, including complex coverage issues. Representative reinsurance clients of the firm include General Reinsurance Corporation and Everest Reinsurance Company. We have also represented the Reinsurance Association of America in reinsurance litigation of national significance.
Our firm has a wide range of experience in reinsurance counseling, arbitration, and litigation. A sampling of the types of matters with which we have significant experiences include:
- Representing ceding companies, reinsurers, and retrocessionaires in matters involving both treaty and facultative reinsurance.
- Successfully resolving reinsurance matters involving virtually all classes of business, including property, casualty, marine, health and life.
- Litigating and arbitrating matters involving reinsurance intermediaries, including their capacity as agents and their susceptibility to various discovery devices.
- Involvement in major insurance company insolvencies, including Mission, Transit Casualty, Integrity, Mutual Benefit, Protective National, and Mentor, among others.

Members of the firm have lectured and written extensively in the United States and abroad on reinsurance and insurance issues.
